What you can expect from us
-
Respect and dignity
You will be treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity at all times, regardless of your background, identity, or circumstances.
-
Clear information about your treatment
Before any treatment begins, your dentist will explain what they are recommending, why, and any alternatives available. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and give informed consent.
-
Transparent costs
We will always tell you the cost of your treatment in advance, whether NHS or private. You will not be billed for anything you have not agreed to.
-
NHS and private options
Where you are eligible for NHS treatment, we will make this clear. If a private option is also available, we will explain the differences so you can make an informed choice.
-
Emergency guidance
If you experience a dental emergency, please call your practice as early in the day as possible. We will do our best to offer same-day urgent appointments. If the practice is closed, out-of-hours guidance is provided on the practice's voicemail where possible — or call NHS 111 for urgent out-of-hours advice.
-
A fair complaints process
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, we want to know. Please speak to the practice manager in the first instance. All complaints are taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled in confidence. You also have the right to refer concerns to NHS England or the General Dental Council.
-
Confidentiality
Your health information is confidential and will only be shared with those directly involved in your care, or as required by law.
Your responsibilities as a patient
-
Attend your appointments
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, let the practice know so they can manage their schedule.
-
Give adequate notice if you need to cancel
If you cannot attend, please cancel as soon as possible — ideally at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer your slot to another patient who needs it. Repeated missed appointments without notice may affect your ability to book future appointments.
-
Provide accurate information
Please give us up-to-date information about your health, medications, and contact details. This helps us provide the safest and most appropriate care.
-
Treat staff with respect
Our teams work hard to provide excellent care. Abusive or threatening behaviour towards any member of staff will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the practice list.
-
Follow clinical advice
We will always explain our recommendations clearly. Following the advice given — including home care routines — will help you get the best outcomes from your treatment.
